The American Library Association publishes or distributes a number of other items that may be of interest to you. Information Freedom and Censorship: World Report 1991 is a country-by-country study of information freedom, laws and violations, and media activity. Sense and Censorship: the Vanity of Bonfires (1991), sponsored by the Freedom to Read Foundation and Americans for Constitutional Freedom, shows how pro-censorship groups are deliberately trying to obscure the fact that there is no correlation between sexually explicit materials and violence against women. Call the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom for more information about these publications and others.

Another way to be current on intellectual freedom issues is to join the ACLU, People for the American Way, Freedom to Read Foundation or other groups that fight to preserve our First Amendment rights. You will start receiving their newsletters and may want to purchase some of their other publications.
